What is a Bed & Breakfast? |
Many places call themselves Bed and Breakfasts. Even the Holiday Inn does in some locations. The bed and breakfast as a concept, began in Europe and started as overnight lodging in a private home. In the British Isles the old phrase "Bed-and-Breakfast, Two-and-Six" came from the standard price of the lodging. The sign was often displayed at the front of the house. Today, budget B&Bs still offer this kind of accommodation, while luxury B&Bs offer much more.
Amoré by the Sea is a 7200 sq. ft. private residence whose guest rooms are uniquely decorated and offer a high level of privacy and security in an adult-oriented environment. The owners, who live in another section of the home, have designed the rooms with comfort and privacy in mind.
The Bed & Breakfast designation is sometimes erroneously used by hotels and motels, or other less personal establishments to capitalize on the concept. A true Bed & Breakfast is an accommodation with the owner living on (or nearby) the premises, who provides clean, attractive accommodations, usually wonderful breakfasts (at Amoré always wonderful!) and provides expert advice on the area.
Many travelers enjoy the individuality of the B&B experience. They can get to know the owners, who are local to the area, and meet other travelers from all over the world. The individual attention available at a B&B is unsurpassed by any other type of accommodation.
At Amoré by the Sea great care is taken in keeping all areas of the home clean and tastefully decorated. Guests can enjoy wonderful amenities like the spa hot tub overlooking the beach, the wonderful services offered at the Seaside Spa, the ambiance of their room with private bathroom, in complete and respectful privacy.
