BC Ferries from Tsawwassen:
This is the ferry we recommend - even if you're coming from Seattle. BC Ferries leave from Tsawwassen Terminal (near Vancouver, approx. 2.5 hours north of Seattle) to Swartz Bay (near Victoria) on Vancouver Island. The ferries carry both vehicles and passengers. They have wonderful amenities aboard and the trip through the Gulf Islands is beautiful. The crossing time is 1.5 hours and there are hourly sailings during the summer (from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm) and every odd hour sailings at other times of the year. Ferry reservations can be made by calling their toll-free number. www.BCFerries.com) 1 888 BC FERRY (in BC) or (250) 386-3431 (outside of BC) |
Coho Ferry - Leaving from Port Angeles WA
The Coho runs from Port Angeles, Washington to downtown Victoria, BC. It is a foot passenger and vehicle ferry with a crossing time of 1.5 hours. It has year-round service with 2 to 4 trips daily. The amenities aboard are minimal and the scenery unremarkable except for the ever-present and beautiful Olympic Mountains. They have just started a reservation service, which we recommend using during the summer and on busy weekends. It is best to call ahead for updated information. www.CohoFerry.com Coho Ferry - (360) 457-4491 |
